Phoenix has become one of the best food cities in Arizona for breakfast and brunch. Whether you want pancakes, coffee, protein-packed meals after the gym, or a relaxing brunch spot to meet friends or work online… the Valley has a lot of great options.
I’ve eaten breakfast all over Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and surrounding Arizona cities, and these are some of my personal favorite breakfast spots.

#1 — Snooze A.M. Eatery
Snooze is my personal favorite breakfast spot in Phoenix overall.
The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is upbeat, and the menu has a creative twist without becoming too complicated.
Their pancakes are some of the best in Arizona, and the breakfast tacos, eggs benedict, hash browns, and coffee are all solid.
What makes Snooze stand out is the overall experience:
- energetic atmosphere
- modern brunch vibe
- good service
- quality ingredients
- and consistently good food.
Yes, the wait can sometimes be long… but that usually tells you the place is doing something right.
If someone asks me where to grab breakfast in Phoenix, Snooze is one of the first places I recommend.
#2 — Matt’s Big Breakfast
Matt’s Big Breakfast is a Phoenix classic.
Simple breakfast done correctly.
No crazy gimmicks.
No overcomplicated menu.
Just fresh ingredients and consistently solid breakfast food.
The bacon, eggs, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, and potatoes are all excellent.
This place has built a strong reputation in Arizona over the years because the quality stays consistent.
#3 — Hash Kitchen
Hash Kitchen has become one of the most popular brunch spots in Scottsdale and Phoenix.
Big portions.
Creative menu.
Fun atmosphere.
This is more of a high-energy brunch experience with music, social atmosphere, and oversized breakfast plates.
Their pancake flights and breakfast skillets are especially popular.
#4 — Original Breakfast House
One of the underrated local breakfast spots in Phoenix.
The food quality is excellent and the portions are generous without trying too hard to be trendy.
Good comfort breakfast food with a more relaxed local feel.
#5 — Lux Central
Lux is known more as a coffee shop, but it’s also a great breakfast and work spot.
Good pastries.
Good coffee.
Creative atmosphere.
Strong local Phoenix vibe.
It’s a good place if you want breakfast while reading, working online, or taking meetings.
