As someone that works online, runs businesses, creates content, and spends a lot of time on the laptop… I’ve worked from coffee shops all over Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, and surrounding Arizona cities.
Some places have great coffee but terrible work environments.
Others have:
- bad WiFi
- no outlets
- loud music
- uncomfortable seating
- or no real work vibe.
These are my personal favorite coffee shops in Phoenix for getting work done, taking meetings, reading, writing, building your business, or just escaping the home office for a few hours.
#1 — Royal Coffee Bar
Royal Coffee Bar is my personal favorite coffee shop to work from in Phoenix.
The atmosphere is clean, modern, and productive without feeling corporate. The seating is comfortable, the coffee is strong, and the environment feels calm and focused.
If you’re an entrepreneur, remote worker, content creator, student, real estate investor, or business owner… Royal Coffee Bar has a great “work energy” to it.
One thing I like most is the balance:
- not too loud
- not too quiet
- good lighting
- relaxed vibe
- and enough space to actually focus.
It’s one of those places where you can sit down for a few hours and genuinely get things done.
#2 — Lux Central
Lux Central is one of the most well-known coffee shops in Phoenix for creatives, entrepreneurs, writers, and remote workers.
The vibe is more artsy and energetic compared to Royal Coffee Bar. Some people love that energy because it feels inspiring and social.
The coffee is excellent, the pastries are solid, and there’s always an interesting crowd there.
If you enjoy a more creative environment with movement and people around, Lux is a great place to work from, brainstorm ideas, or take casual meetings.
It’s become a Phoenix staple over the years.

#3 — Provision Coffee
Provision has a strong minimalist coffee culture feel with quality espresso and a productive atmosphere.
Good for:
- laptop work
- meetings
- studying
- reading
- quiet focus sessions.
The coffee quality is consistently high and the environment attracts professionals and creatives alike.
#4 — Press Coffee
Press Coffee has multiple locations around Phoenix and Scottsdale and is one of the safer “reliable work spot” options.
Good WiFi.
Clean environment.
Solid coffee.
Predictable atmosphere.
Sometimes consistency matters more than hype when you need to get real work done.
#5 — Cartel Roasting Co.
Cartel is another Arizona classic.
More energetic and social than some of the others on this list, but still a good spot for entrepreneurs and remote workers that like movement and activity while they work.
Their cold brew is especially popular.
Phoenix Has Great Coffee Shops for Entrepreneurs
Phoenix has become a surprisingly strong city for:
- remote workers
- entrepreneurs
- creators
- startup founders
- real estate investors
- online business owners
- and freelancers.
Whether you’re in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, or Paradise Valley… there are great places to sit down, focus, and build your business.
