FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Phoenix company launches what it believes is America's first AI-powered instant bicycle buying system, giving qualifying sellers an actual purchase offer online without first hauling their bicycle to a bike shop.
PHOENIX, ARIZONA – September 14, 2026
Selling a used bicycle has traditionally meant hauling it to a bike shop, waiting for an employee to inspect it, accepting store credit, listing it yourself, or submitting information online and waiting for a person to decide what the bike is worth.
MrBikeMan.com is changing that process.
Phoenix-based MrBikeMan has launched what the company believes is America's first AI-powered instant bicycle buying system designed to give qualifying bicycle owners an actual MrBikeMan purchase offer online – without first bringing the bicycle into a bike shop.
This is not simply another bicycle value calculator. It is an AI-powered bicycle buyer.
NOT A BIKE VALUE ESTIMATOR. A BIKE BUYER.
Online valuation tools can estimate what a bicycle may be worth. Trade-in programs can estimate store credit. Other online buyers may let sellers submit information and wait for a human review.
MrBikeMan built its system around a much simpler question from a bicycle owner:
"What will you actually pay me for my bike?"
A seller provides information about the bicycle and uploads photos through MrBikeMan.com. The proprietary system analyzes the submission, evaluates multiple bicycle and market signals, determines whether the bike qualifies for automated pricing, and can generate an actual MrBikeMan purchase offer.
When the bicycle qualifies for an automated offer, the seller can review the offer online and move directly toward accepting it and scheduling the transaction – without first transporting the bicycle to a retail shop.
FROM PHOTOS TO PRICE – USING AI
MrBikeMan's technology goes beyond a single price lookup. The system is designed to consider multiple signals that may include bicycle identity, brand, model, year, condition, size, demand, comparable-market information, historical business data, and AI-assisted image analysis.
The company's internal pricing formulas, thresholds, and decision rules remain proprietary.
The goal is not to use AI simply because AI is popular. The goal is to remove friction for the seller.
"Why should somebody put a bicycle in a car, drive across town, unload it, and walk into a bike shop just to find out what somebody will pay for it?" said the founder of MrBikeMan. "We built the system so technology can do much of that work before the seller ever has to move the bike."
THE ONLINE PROCESS
For qualifying bicycles, the customer experience is designed to be simple:
1. Tell MrBikeMan about the bicycle.
2. Upload the requested photos.
3. The system analyzes the bicycle and pricing signals.
4. Receive the MrBikeMan purchase offer when the submission qualifies for automated pricing.
5. Review and accept the offer online.
6. Schedule the transaction and, when eligible, bicycle pickup.
Final payment is subject to verification that the bicycle, ownership, components, and condition materially match the information submitted online.
NO BIKE RACK? NO PROBLEM.
The no-initial-shop-visit model also solves a practical problem: moving a bicycle.
Many sellers do not own a bike rack. Electric bikes, cargo bikes, mountain bikes, and other large bicycles can be difficult to transport. MrBikeMan's process starts online, and eligible transactions can proceed to pickup after an offer is accepted.
"We wanted selling a bicycle to feel like using technology in 2026, not 1996," the founder said. "You shouldn't have to haul your bike around town just to ask what someone will pay for it."
AN AI BICYCLE ACQUISITION SYSTEM
Behind the customer-facing offer is a broader bicycle acquisition workflow.
MrBikeMan's software is designed to connect automated bicycle analysis and pricing with the seller's online experience, offer selection, account tools, agreements, appointment scheduling, pickup workflow, and internal business controls.
Human review remains available for submissions that do not meet the system's requirements for automated pricing.
That distinction is important: automation is used where the system has sufficient information to act, while exceptions can be routed for additional review.
A POTENTIAL FIRST FOR THE U.S. BICYCLE INDUSTRY
AI and machine learning have already appeared in bicycle retail, search, and bicycle valuation. Online bicycle trade-ins and remote selling also existed before MrBikeMan's new system.
MrBikeMan's claim is narrower.
Based on the company's research as of September 2026, it has not identified an earlier U.S. bicycle buyer offering the same complete combination of AI-powered automated bicycle analysis, an instant online purchase offer for qualifying bicycles, cash purchasing, no initial shop visit required to obtain the offer, and pickup for eligible transactions.
For that reason, MrBikeMan believes the system represents a first-of-its-kind bicycle buying experience in America.
The company welcomes journalists and bicycle-industry professionals with evidence of an earlier comparable U.S. service to contact MrBikeMan so the historical record can be accurately documented.
BUILT IN PHOENIX
MrBikeMan currently serves Phoenix and surrounding communities in the Valley and focuses on quality used bicycles from recognized bicycle brands.
The company's larger vision is to demonstrate how artificial intelligence can modernize a part of the bicycle industry that has traditionally depended heavily on manual appraisals.
"AI isn't replacing the bicycle, and it isn't replacing common sense," the founder said. "It's removing unnecessary steps between somebody who has a bicycle to sell and a buyer ready to make an offer."
